Dr. Viswanathan’s journey taught her a few important lessons:

– A supportive community is foundational to success.
– It is essential not only to find mentors in your field but also to be a mentor to future leaders once you have wisdom of your own to share.
– Make space for yourself, and for others to bring their authentic self to the workplace. Everyone has a unique perspective that can add value to the conversation.
