Sita Sonty is the Chief Executive Officer of Space Tango, where she oversees the implementation of the company’s mission and vision. Prior to joining Space Tango, she led the space industry practice at Boston Consulting Group and made history at SpaceX as the Head of Human Spaceflight Sales, executing the first private spaceflight sale on the Crew Dragon. She also held leadership roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation and Raytheon, and amassed over 17 years of service as a U.S. diplomat, with postings in Croatia, Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. Sonty has a distinguished academic background, including a Master’s from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor’s from Amherst College. She is fluent in multiple languages and has received several awards for her contributions to diplomacy and international security. Sonty also serves on the Executive Board for the Washington Leadership Program and has been actively involved in various defense and security advisory groups.
